Dogs in Northern Territory, Australia: rules, tax and travel
In the Darwin Municipality dogs and cats older than 3 months must be registered and microchipped, with much lower fees for desexed animals. Rules differ in other Northern Territory council areas.
These rules come from the City of Darwin; other NT councils run their own registration, and the territory Dog Management Act was not retrieved.
The national rules for Australia apply here too. National rules
