Travelling to Denmark with a cat
Non-commercial moves now follow Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/131, which replaced the rules of Regulation (EU) No 576/2013. The pet needs a microchip, a valid rabies vaccination and an EU pet passport, with a maximum of five dogs, cats or ferrets per vehicle unless they travel to a show or competition. Passports issued under the old rules stay usable for a transition period.[1]
