told by a Tenterfield TerrierA day in the life

I wake up and stretch my short legs, ready for the day. The sun is warm, and I race to the door, tail wagging. My human laughs and tosses a ball across the yard, I chase it, ears flapping. We walk along the path, sniffing every bush. A bird chirps; I tilt my head, curious. Back home, I curl on the sofa, watching my human cook. After a quick brush, I play tug-of-war with a squeaky toy. Evening comes, and I snuggle close, content. Another happy day.

A made-up story, just for fun. Not advice of any kind.

where it all beganTenterfield Terrier history

Small terriers came to Australia with 19th-century English settlers to keep rats down, and breeders crossed the smallest Fox Terriers with other small breeds to create a compact ratter. Long known as the Miniature Fox Terrier, the breed was renamed in the 1990s to honour the Tenterfield Saddler, George Woolnough.21
